HGUC Gouf Custom = HOTNESS

Ever since playing the PSP Gundam Battle series I was exposed to many UC designs. Among those that left a deep impression was the Gouf Custom from the 8th MS Team. What isn't there to like about it? Its blue and it has a huge arse gatling gun shield. To date HGUC have been on the prowl to release as many machines as possible from the longest calendar in the Gundam metaseries timeline.

 The Gouf Custom has now been faithfully created in its newest rendition in the HGUC range. If i was to choose between the MG 00Q and this I think I would prefer this kit! Nope Hiroki isn't sick its just that this machine's too hot to miss, but this is only theoretical because I dont buy models any more... Donations? :D

1/144 RG Char Zaku

Hot from the 50th Plamodel Convention comes the RG Char Zaku. Being the second in the lineup it sure has some pretty big shoes to fill so lets measure it up is it yay or nay?

The concept looks good, however Im not much of a fan of the coral red scheme that seems to be used everywhere since the One Year War video game. Personally I prefer that the body be more red like the box art packaging and early model releases. However being a painter theres nothing that airbrushing cant solve!

Bumper Gundam Post

Its not common that I will talk about three Gundam timelines in one post so lets start with anime first. Raws of the second episode of Unicorn are circulating on Youtube at the moment in due course expect to see subs!

The rest is related to Gunpla. Recently the PG Strike Freedom and MG 00Q have been attracting much attention. The PG Strike Freedom I am so excited about this one the kit looks amazing... and its not even complete yet!

The frame colour isnt that ugly poo brown (not that it makes a difference to me since I am going to spray it) but at least its a good stock colour for those who don't paint. Theres also videos circulating around documenting how the wings work. the hinge mechanisms are spring loaded and are deployed at a flip of a button (this model demonstration was shot with a sample without the button mechanism)

Last but not least is the MG 00 Qan[T] the release date has been confirmed it will hit the Japanest Market on the 25th of November!

No wonder they can churn this kit out so fast the frame bears strong resemblance to the MG Exia frame.

Seems like Neo Zeon mobile suits are the main topic of todays posts after finding the treasure trove known as http://blog.sina.com.cn/bandaigz today I came across a pretty cool competition piece. Its a model of the HGUC Kshatriya which happens to be piloted by Marida Cruz who alot of our readers love!

Earlier in the year I mentioned the Formania Sazabi now it has reached the stores I can not believe how crazily detailed it is! Couple this with the Nu Gundam from the same series and you would have a perfect set for the collection!

PG Strike Freedom to be unvealed this month.

It has been confirmed by the Gundam 30th site that the PG Strike Freedom prototype will be unvealed in the 50th Japanese Modelling Hobby Show between the 16th and 17th of this month! Cant wait to see the product!

RG Gundam Progress: Gundam is now armed!!!

I finally got some time to carry on with the RG Gundam project. This blog entry will focus on the backpack and some peeves I found about the shoulder design.

The parts! Not as crazy as the 17 individual head parts but still detailed. I was actually surprised that the colour seperation wasn't as extensive this time. Not to worry I did modifications of my own unfortunately the cam I am using is only my HTC Desire so its hard to pick up on the individual colour tones I used. Pinky swear to charge my camera next time.

Okay the backpack! First off theres actually two shades of grey. they are located on the beam saber recharge racks and the boosters. I particularly like the strip of white at the top it looks nice! The shoulders were completed last time but I believe they are the worst part of the kit the gaps are a bit ugly but theres nothing a bit of putty or cement can't solve!

And heres a side view! The Gundam's panel lines are awesome love the extent which Bandai went to recreate the 1:1 RG into such a compact form. One thing I found to be strange was the "handle bars" on the top of the Gundam's backpack, hehehe I wonder who in the right mind would decide to hitch a ride with this beast?

Finally the front view the Gundam now has weapons! The next update will be the arms. Gotta have arms to swing those beam sabers don't you agree?..............Hmmmmm maybe beam saber funnels? :P
