Age of Extinction Tourbillon Watches
I admit I am a watch junkie! I own two Tags and a Tissot and my collection continues to expand! :D To date movie release special editions aren't new but these two from Tourbillon are awesome! The collection even has a Bumblebee and Optimus version! I'm very curious on pricing as I'm pretty sure they wont be cheap.

Toy Archives May 2014- Hiroki the Toy Hoarder!
Ok I have not been on recently but my otakuness (if that is a word?) has reach new heights... Is that even possible? This last month I got introduced to Jordan Hembrough's hit show Toy Hunter. I have been a toy fan for a long time now but never imagined the investment worthiness of the collectible market. So I have so to speak become a bit of a toy hoarder :P and man if I was to document all the purchases I made in a regular Toy Archives post I think it would explode! These include
- Movie Masterpiece Starscream
- Gen 1 Optimus Prime (Loose)
- Mego Superman (1974 Vintage)
- Power Rangers Movie Metallic Edition White Ranger (1995 Vintage)
- A set of four of the Classic Collection Ninja Turtles (I am stalking an original Leonardo as we speak)
- A limited edition Leonardo called Night Shadow Leonardo
- A San Diego Comicon exclusive Mighty Muggs Iron Man Mk6 with flipping visor.
I searched far and wide to find stuff from my childhood and beyond. Although some by now have become almost inaccessible like boxed unopened G1 transformers.... although I have picked up a loose G1 Optimus in immaculate condition (will have that on here later)! Man I am now accustomed to acronyms like loose, carded, unpunched, MOC etc. My investment strategy so far is to aim for originals boxed or loose of 80-90s era toys and target modern Comic Con exclusive items, generally items which do not see a regular production release are in strictly limited numbers.
Some may not know but I am a systems analyst by trade. I specialise in data principles, processes and improvement. So of course a collection of this scale will need to be documented... so here is my logic. :P
A principle for all data retention is to have a primary key to uniquely identify a record. Everything I own now has been documented. Let me run you through the system
There are four elements to my naming which I named as handles the first is a three digit assignment indicating the franchise in which the product belongs ie. STW is Star Wars. Then you have the secondary handle which denotes if it is a loose, display or boxed item. Followed by the third element which denotes what type of collectible it is. The final aspect is the next numerical number. So to sum this all up an item assigned with the number STWDF01 stands for Star Wars Display Figure Number 1.
If this keeps up I will probably need to rent storage space soon!

Gundam Builders HG 1/144 Exia Dark Matter
This month saw the announcement of quite a few nice kits! Here is yet another, I did not really like the concept of Gundam Builders so at the time I gave it a miss. After quite a few releases there has not been any I was interested in until now. :D The Exia Dark Matter. The extra backpack and the magenta colour scheme is terrific, very well done!
2014 Razr Naga Expert
As mentioned previously I started to play WoW late last year. This is a post that I was meant to post at lvl 86 but somehow didn't post and got saved as a draft.. I have finally reached level 90! Of course with the help of this little beast, the Razr Naga Expert. I decided to buy this since I s still had a voucher left from my birthday last year. So I scored this beast for $20! Loving the convenience of having buttons literally at my fingertips!
Neo Zeong!
The sheer size of Neo Zeong, Full Frontal's additional armour for the Sinanju is CRAZY!!!
SD Sized- Even the diminutive SD scale is 19cm tall! (I actually may get this one!)
1/144 Sized- This thing is a behemoth! Bandai claim it to be the largest Gunpla kit to date. The kit stands at 89cm tall!

Gundam Game Madness!
This week I renewed my Gundam game catalogue. I got Gundam Extreme Vs Full Boost Premium G Sound Edition and Gundam Musou 3 for the Vita. More button mashing goodness! :D
Max Factory Asuna (Titania)
I am eagerly waiting for more SAO. Before I get Hollow Fragment I may as well indulge in a figure that Maxfactory are about to release to the masses. Since getting the Realistic Variant Yoko Littner I have been a huge fan of their work! Needless to say I am also a huge fan of Asuna's Titania costume!

Go Voltron Force!
I was born as a 80s child I was fortunate enough to see the original series for quite a few master pieces including Ninja Turtles, Transformers, He Man and of course Voltron. As to date I have been very against reboots so I was a little hesitant to pick up Voltron Force but this gem of a series actually has me hooked! I love the revised look of the lions with the weapons attachments, tails and feline curves. This series totally reminds me of the Voltron I grew up with and the addition of the cadets really provides a fresh approach to the series! Well done for a successful reboot!
This set was shown at the San Diego Comicon in 2012 to date no release data has been sent out but man it's a beast!

Tokyuger Thoughts
I was keeping my silence hoping the rumour mill was false but so it seems pardon the pun. Tokyuger looks like a train wreck. I's like they blew the budget on Kyouruger. Ah well I will be skipping this year's sentai title. My very general rule is if I don't like the suits I don't watch the production.

Hot Toys Iron Man Mk39 Starboost
Starboost is probably my favourite suit from the house party protocol. Unfortunately it did not get the screen time which it deserves. At least Hot Toys is going in the right direction. I'm really conflicted at the moment I'm tossing up between this or the Dragon release.

World of Warcraft Horde Keychain
I was on Pop Cultcha and found this little gem. I recently got back into WOW and have leveled a new character to Level 68. As the Paladin class reminded me of Thor and Asgardians in general I named my character Asgardian. So the keychain what do I intend to do? Our guild is a small operation between close friends so I intend to get these and engrave our character names onto them.

Happy New Year! Let The Toy Archives Begin!
It is the 1/1/14 and ODU is now it's sixth year. With a new year comes new projects! This new project is a picture journal called Toy Archives which documents what we bought and what we thought of getting monthly. I thought it would be a funny way to write a journal about collecting in general and to see which purchases made it to the collection! I have a funny story about this actually. I was originally intending to do this privately on my phone via an app. The app was called Everybody! Scrapbooking. The functionality was great but it was not for everybody... The designs were so girly I couldn't bring myself to use it. So I resorted to PowerPoint. I will start off the Archives with purchases and thoughts carried over from 2013!
By the end of 2013 I saw the need of getting a new cabinet. With this in mind I made the decision to begin a power rangers/sentai collection. I put in a order for the SH Figuarts Power Ranger figures already available on the market (I should have them by Monday!). I also had the thought of expanding my Iron Man collection to general Marvel and my Batman collection to a blanket DC collection. Bad bad idea! Now I cant keep my eyes off the Square Enix DC Kai figures!
